FEMAS Certified
We are proud to announce that as of September 7th 2009 our manufacturing plant at Bjugn, Norway is certified by the UK FEMAS (Feed Materials Assurance Scheme) to produce hydrolysed fish protein concentrate and fish oil of the highest quality and consistency.
Quality Assurance manager Berit Strand Johnsen led the company's entire production and management group successfully through this demanding system of checks and controls, governing Hazard and Critical Control Point (HACCP) monitoring and Total Quality Management of the production process. Scanbio Bjugn is the first company in Norway - of any kind - to achieve this accolade and meet the UK FEMAS standards. FEMAS is a mutually recognised standard across the European Union.
